How we can help

The Rotherham IAPT service provides short-term interventions, which include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) for depression and counselling. We accept self-referrals and referrals from other agencies for people aged 18 years and above with a Rotherham GP.

The interventions can be delivered in your GP surgery, a community site or within the IAPT base.

The service also offers group work on issues such as stress, anxiety, depression and bereavement. These groups are conducted at regular intervals.

The service also offer online programmes like SilverCloud and Be Mindful which are online courses to help you manage stress, anxiety and depression in a different way.

People who may benefit from a course of treatment will be booked an initial assessment appointment with a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Once this assessment has been performed the client and the practitioner will negotiate the most beneficial intervention and refer to the appropriate clinician/group if required.
